James & Turner is located in the heart of Coromandel Town on the Coromandel Peninsula. A region known for its gold mining history.

It was established in 1889 by Samuel James, an ironmonger who sold mining and building supplies along with general house furnishings.

It is now locally owned and operated by Jennifer & Rob Ashman.
